Episode 05：Anne and the Cat’s Sugar Candy Shop
Episode Summary：
Anne decided to join Royal Candy Fair next year. Then together with Challe and Mythril Lid Pod, she went to sugar candy shops in Lewiston to study. She found a beautiful sugar candy at a certain store, but a suspicious man broke the sugar candy and escaped. The owner of the store, Cat, thought Anne and her group were the ones responsible and demanded that she work at the store as compensation.

This is a world where humans use fairies and where candy is believed to bring about good fortune. There, a special candy crafter that crafts the venerated candy is called “Silver Sugar Master.”

Anne, a girl whose late mother was a revered Silver Sugar Master, decides to inherit the craft and become Silver Sugar Master herself. To do that, she should prove her crafting skill at the royal capital’s Royal Candy Fair. On the way to the royal capital city, she employed a warrior fairy named Challe as her bodyguard. Although Challe’s ability as a warrior is true, he has a foul mouth and distrusts humans, thus, clashes with Anne are inevitable. However, as she continues her journey with Challe, Anne starts to desire friendship. Overcoming the differences in species and social standing as well as complicated circumstances, what kind of future will the human Anne and fairy Challe come to?

  6. Man I REALLY can't take this plot device seriously. It's not like the silver sugar apples are even super super rare! It's just a simple delicacy for the nobility; it's a luxury item that people don't even need. It doesn't have any particular special requirements to grow, other than maybe being exclusively under the rights of the aristos. Making the sugar is also easy. ANYONE who practices can become a professional candy maker and since the king chooses them, they don't even require exclusive talent or "feelings" and originality, since the stupid king CAN'T detect all that and only prizes the big and flashy one. Then it makes you wonder…what's the point of the fairies? Why are they even there? Because they are ONLY taste this silver sugar? You don't even need fairy magic to make that sinver sugar so really, why are the faries there??

Special thanks to the translators too! This anime is interesting to watch since it has a unique storyline! The main leads looks so handsome and cute! The MCs have good chemistry too! Love the opening and the ending song! The OSTs have a good tune too! The animation looks so beautiful! The lovely scene in front of the fire between Challe and Anne was so romantic! Didn't expect Challe will have a smug face lol!

  46. Kat and Benjamin are my favourite duo. They're literally so cute I could watch a whole spin off series of them. Kat looks like someone who has a soft side. He's my favourite character now ❤
    Can't wait to see more of them!
